The loss of Dr. Preston J. Phillips has jeopardized an upcoming mission to Togo in West Africa and his Foundation needs your help.
While the shooting at St. Francis Hospital is still heavy in our hearts, we lost an important friend and colleague in Dr. Preston Phillips. His loss has left a big void in the planned upcoming mission to Togo. Dr. Phillips had been preparing to go on his fifth mission to West Africa from June 23-July 3, 2022 for the non-profit “Light in the World Development Foundation” that he cofounded with Saint Francis hospitalist Dr. Komi Folly. The Foundation’s volunteer physicians provide surgical services to those in underserved areas of Africa and the U.S.
The Foundation is looking for an orthopaedic total knee/knee specialist to volunteer to take Dr. Phillips’ place on this Togo mission. If you are interested or know someone who is, please contact Dr. Scott Dunitz at 918-629-5111 or at s.dunitz@tbja.org. He will be able to answer any questions you may have.
We know that Dr. Phillips, his family, and loved ones, would want to see his dream fulfilled by serving those in need in Togo. Any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
